RESERVATION DEBATES
Why Reservations?
The Answers are Simple! Reservations are necessary – to end
Inequalities, to stop prevailing Injustices, to prevent Corruption, to develop
all the People, to create a Society, to integrate the Country, and make the
Nation Decent Honest and Proud.
Reservations in Different Sectors are the only known
feasible and workable Peaceful Democratic Options available to us today. That is spite of all the violent
Demonstrations, Disturbances and Violence created by the anti-Reservationists,
wherever the brahmins and
their DCH – dominant caste hindu partners are in
Power, or are Sharing Power.
Why all these Opposition to Reservations? Because of Jealousy, Intolerance, and the
still prevailing caste based Manu’s Philosophies of injustices and hatred. Caste antagonisms biases and prejudices are
very strong and powerful. They are at
times based on total brahmanic
and DCH Ignorance as well as their Caste Arrogance. They are not amenable to any reason, or
rational thinking and arguments. Their
arguments and unreasonable rigid Arguments are based on skewed reasoning. They are based on wild and wrong assumptions,
and are not borne out of Social Facts or Actual Realities. They survive by keeping the Country, Govts and Students Ignorant. They always need big Money, Commissions, long
Study, expensive Research, Debates, Discussions, Work Shops, Seminars
etc, to find out any Truths that are obvious and well known to even the
Illiterate Beggars in the Street. For
example they will need, ask the University, UGC, ICSR, various Commissions, Govts, and even International Aide Agencies to sanction
large and hefty Funds for them to ‘Scientifically Determine, Discover,
concretely Establish, and Find the Truths.
That is how they have been studying living and growing with comforts,
wasting Govts’ Public Money, leaving the Country
Poor, the Poor Weak, Marginalised and Backward.
If at anytime you ask the brahmins and their DCH Friends, any Question about
the miserably poor Cobbler sitting right outside the Finance Ministry in North
Block, they will ask you for some big Money to do the Right Research, before
they can provide you with any Answer!
They will never give any straightforward answer, and say whether the
miserable fellow on the Footpath under the shades of the Tree or Bougainville
Shrub, mending Shoes, Sandals and Slippers, is Poor or not. They have to conduct a Research on the
Question, to find if the Cobbler sitting there unmindful of the blistering heat
under the hot Sun in intolerable Summer, or braving the lashing Rain during the
Monsoon Months, or in the freezing Winter of North, is suffering or not. They Need Funds, for doing some Research,
even to know whether he is a SC or ST Dalit, or
whether he is a Christian or Muslim, or still remains non-Converted. They need more time, to say whether he and
his family are poor or not; to find out if he has any avenue of Economic and
Social Development. And they don’t want
to reply whether he can afford to send his Children even to the miserably bad
dingy falling and sleepy Municipal or
Basis of all Oppositions to Reservations are very
vague flimsy and untruthful –

Reservations are not for the
People. |
Reservations are the only way
for neglected marginalised excluded and discriminated Sections of the Society
to come to the Centre. Reservations help neglected
People to participate in the Governance, Decision Making, and Administration

Democracy and Republic are all about. Reservations only Facilitate the
Establishment of Democracy and Republican forms of Govts
in this Country. Without any Reservations for the
Backward Classes of People, Democracy, Equality, Justice and Equal
Opportunities to enjoy the Fruits of National Development are not at all
possible. This Nation does not really have
a single Society. There are far too
many Communities that are basically Exploitative, Unjust and still prefer to
Live on Others, particularly the Poor, Weak and the Working Classes. The Exploiters are all the small, but
feudal Oppressive Communities, surviving only on the basis of the unfair and
unequal Castes. |
Reservations already have helped
in bringing up some SC&ST Dalits into the
Centre Stage of Politics, Political Parties and Govts. They are very much there for everyone to
see. They have facilitated so many
SC&ST Dalits to get into the otherwise very
restricted exclusive and closed circles of elites. Thus, they have entered into Bureaucracy,
all types of Executive Machineries, big Management Groups, Administration and
various Public Offices, both in the Govts, Public and
Private Sectors, as well as Banking and other Financial Institutions. This naturally motivates and encourages
most other underprivileged sections to ask for Reservations, even in Areas
now kept away from Reservations by the vested interests of DCHs – the dominant caste hindus.

2. |
Reservations only help Serve
Selfish Interests. |
Reservations, some feel are only
OK for me, just myself, my family, my caste, and my
community. They should not be
extended, and at any cost be not made available to others. The real and unspoken intentions
are that, I don’t want others to take benefit, develop and come up in their
lives, like me, my family members, my community and caste. This is exactly what the brahmins and DCHs, are doing these days.
They benefited from Reservations in the past, during the British
Regime. They took full and all
Advantages from the British. Under the
Schemes of Modern Universal English Education, Employment and Development of
Indians, all of them monopolised everything good available for the benefit of
themselves. Having fully developed, the brahmins and their DCH Friends,
are now Opposing Reservations for all other Groups of People. Right from the SC&ST Dalits, Christian and Muslim Dalits,
OBCs, Minorities and Women, the brahmins
and DCH Partners, don’t want to allow anyone to get
Reservations. |
This danger should not be held
against Reservations. One should be
aware of such selfish interests. But
that should not come in the way of Reservations, and the resultant Development
of any Weaker Section. We must guard against this
Attitude, which is sadly creeping amongst some SC&ST Dalit
individuals also. |

Reservations are Divisive. |
If Reservations are really
Divisive, what Castes, carefully and meticulously maintained all these years
are? What then all the still
prevailing evil Caste-based Discriminations, Exploitations and Oppressions
are? |
This is only a bogey. In fact Reservations help bring into focus
and to the centre stage, the marginalised and weak. Reservations are generally inclusive. At the same time, we should be extra
careful to guard against the brahmins and DCHs dividing us on artificial lines, based on vague
unreal factors. Hence, we must always
guard against the shedding of Crocodile Tears by the brahmins,
their DCH Friends, and their highly motivated evil visual and print medias. |

Reservations on the basis of
Castes are Dangerous |
Reservations are not at all
Dangerous, as it is being made out to be. Reservations are, as per the
Constitutional Provisions only to benefit those Communities who are outside
the Govts. Reservations help all those
Castes that are still being deliberately kept excluded from every good thing
in life. Reservations actually are aimed,
designed, meant, structured and try to bring in and include some of those who
are still excluded from the System. Reservations help the neglected
and marginalised People to enter the main streams of the Nation. Reservations help the forgotten
Communities, and brushed aside People to Participate in the Governance and
Development of the Country. In view of all above advantages,
Reservations can never be Dangerous to either the Society or the Nation. Reservations are only seen as
Dangers, really frightening and threatening all those who benefit even now
from all Castes-based Exclusions. Reservations are being seen as
real Dangers, only by all those Castes that deliberately and also wantonly
excluded others, almost for over four millenniums. The exploiters who excluded others
all these ages, are now disturbed, and feel threatened. |

Reservations only go to
Strengthen the Castes, also Prevent creation of Caste Free Society. |
Reservations, Caste-based, do
not, and can never Strengthen the Evils of Castes, or Perpetuate the divisive
Caste System, that helps brahmins and their DCH
Partners, to exploit all the helpless poor backward castes. Castes and the Evils of Castes
both Perpetrate and Perpetuate the Caste System, by excluding majority of the
People for all good things in life, on the specific basis of others Castes,
because of the brahmins and their DCH Partners. Castes and the Evils of Castes
are Perpetrated and Perpetuated in turn, only by the Caste System that is
still being deliberately and meticulously practiced by the brahmins and their DCH Partners. Reservations on the other hand,
help to bring in, in spite of the Castes, Caste System and their evils, some
of those most excluded, exclusively and only on grounds of Castes. Reservations will slowly but steadily
reduce the impact of the Castes and the Evils of Castes, even now being
Perpetrated and Perpetuated by the Caste System on excluded Backward Classes.
Reservations, in view of all the
above, in fact will be of much help, in weakening the Castes, and also in removing many of the Evils of
Castes being Perpetrated and Perpetuated by the Caste System, at the behest
and for the advantage of the brahmins and their DCH
Partners. |

Reservations are Divisive. |
That is not True. Reservations can never be
Divisive. Reservations have been thought
of and devised to overcome the Divisions in the Country caused by the Castes
and Caste System. In view of the above, to say
that Reservations are Divisive, is a false and very
wrong Propaganda by the agents of Vested Interests. This is an
highly motivated canard by the Caste Lobbies, who are opposed to any type of
Development of the Poor and the Weak. The present Propaganda that,
Reservations are Divisive is false and deliberate,
just made to work against Reservations. |

5. |
Reservations are not the Answer
to the Problems and Injustices in the Society. |
Reservations had been thought
of, and specifically designed to overcome and ultimately end the deliberate
and wanton exclusions of certain Castes, who always formed the Majority in
the Country. Since the Majority of the People
in the Country have all been kept excluded over many millenniums, and still
are kept excluded only by the brahmins and their
DCH Partners, on the basis of Castes, the basic cause of their exclusions has
to be undone. The inclusions of the deprived
are possible, now only through the Reservations. The Reservations have to be on
the basis of their Castes, as the exclusions always have been on the basis of
the Castes, and because of the evils of the Caste System. There are no other ways, neither can there
be any better method, nor is there any visible and viable alternative known,
till date. |

Reservations will not Benefit
the Poor Needy and Deserving amongst Weaker Sections. |
Why this Crocodile Tears now,
for the Poor Needy and Deserving amongst Weaker Sections? Why they had not thought of
helping the Poor Needy and the Deserving amongst any of the Weaker Sections
till date, if they were and are really concerned about any of them? Is this not a Double Standard on
the part of the brahmins and DCHs,
who basically oppose the Reservations, to talk in the same breath about some
of the Benefits reaching the Poor Needy and Deserving amongst the Weaker
Sections through Reservations? |

Reservations must also be made
available to the Poor amongst the brahmins and
other DCHs. |
Reservations of such a nature
can be considered, if feasible and those are permissible. Why the brahmins
and their DCH friends who were in power all these decades, and are still in
all the powerful positions, failed to do anything in this regard? Is it because that the brahmins and their DCH Friends, had all along been so
self consuming and selfish, not even to bother about their brethren in their
own otherwise developed and dominating society, that there are also Poor
amongst the brahmins and DCHs?
This Argument can not and should
not be put forward now, just to block and hold up the Reservations for large
numbers and millions of People from the Backward Classes. |

Reservations now should not be
expanded, instead all the Castes and Caste Systems must be abolished. |
Abolition of Castes, and forming
a Casteless Society, are only big Dreams.
A Day-Dream that is. Castes,
the basis and background of so many large discriminations, exploitations,
injustices, cruelties, oppressions and so on, had
survived nearly four millenniums.
Castes weaken, and had badly Divided the Society. Whatever be
the Justifications for the existence of the Castes, and all the Cover-ups
that one may think of, Castes do not get any credit. Castes are known to have created
so many Problems to the People and this Nation. Castes have stunted all Economic
Developments, and also the Social Progress of the Country. Castes are clearly known to be
Dangerous and big Evil. Castes, had withstood all
attacks, oppositions, and threats to them. The Castes had survived even the
emergence of the opposing Ideologies and Philosophies of Mahavira’s
Jainism, Siddhartha’s Buddhism. Castes had weathered the Impacts
of even universal and ruling Christianity, invading Islam, conquering Muslim
and Moghul Rulers, and the British French and
Portuguese Rules and Administrations. If in spite of all these, Castes
had not died in this Country, those brahmin and DCH
Beneficiaries of the Castes and Caste System,
honestly can not and should not talk about any abolition of the Castes and
Caste Systems. That is only high
Dishonesty, and actually a big cunning Diversionary Tactic, just to throw a
spanner in the works. Castes can not be abolished, as
they are the basic building blocks, and bricks of the Society. Castes and Caste System are
everywhere, have infected every place, all institutions, are in every
Religion in this Country, and can be seen in the most unlikely places. Castes had even won over Jainism
basically founded to directly oppose brahmins,
their Castes and Caste System. In view of all these, it is
purely a tall talk, big wishful thinking, and really a great diversionary
tactic by the brahmins to talk about abolition of
castes, or building Casteless Societies in this Country. In fact, the brahmins
and their DCH Friends, had ensured that Local Names,
even the Regional Identities, and the Jobs of even the Avarnas or Casteless People,
and Out-Castes are converted into Castes these days. These all show that any talk
about creating a modern Casteless Society in this Country, is just an
outlandish Wishful Thinking and Day Dreaming. |

7. |
Reservations Aim at just Distributing
and Redistributing the small and very few Opportunities, which are not the
Right Strategy. |
Reservations, it is true, Aim
just in Distributing and Redistributing the few very small
Opportunities. Distributing and Redistributing
the available small and very few Opportunities, by way of and through
Reservations, are the only feasible Strategies, in all the backward and even
Developing Societies. Development itself must always
be Distributed and Redistributed amongst all in any Society, if it is to
remain honest just and also be peaceful. Developments, without proper
Reservations will only become skewed and distorted. Such Developments will only create more
iniquitous Conditions. They will lead
to more and more additional, and in fact much complex and dangerous Problems
in the Society. In view of the above, available
large big more or small and few Opportunities must always be Distributed and
Redistributed amongst all in any Society. Distributions and
Redistributions amongst all in any Society are always the Right Strategy, if
the Nation Society and People want to remain honest just and also live in
peace. Even if the argument is true, we
can’t be sleeping and wait for the expansion of all the Education,
Employment, Jobs, Salaries and Wages, Development, Social Security etc. Distributions and
Redistributions of the available few Opportunities amongst all in the Society
are required and are absolutely necessary till all Opportunities are
Developed and Expanded, to cover every individual in this Country, including
all those from the marginalised Communities.
Distributions and
Redistributions of all those small few available Opportunities amongst all in
the Society are required, and they are absolutely necessary, as most of the
neglected People can no further be asked to wait and tighten their belt. Distribution and Redistribution
of all available Resources, can not and should not
anymore be allowed to be exploited and monopolised by the unjust evil castes.
Everything in the Country must
be divided and shared, and hence be apportioned and redistributed from time
to time, amongst every identifiable Section of the Society. It will be a cruel joke to otherwise ask,
all the hungry sick suffering deprived and angry people to wait anymore. They had already waited for far too
long. More than half a Century after This Country claiming to be a
Democracy, it is but natural for the People to ask for their Share, and full
Participation in the Governance, Administration and Affairs of the
Country. And Reservations are the only
Answers for these. |

Dangerous and Divisive to the Society and Nation, the Right Choice and Option
is to increase the available Opportunities. |

Professionals. Reservations are not accepted by
the brahmins and their DCH friends in power, in
Academics, Professional Spheres and in the Private Sector. It Appears that Reservations are
not accepted by the eminent individuals in the Academic and Professional
World, and those in the Private Sector, only because the brahmins
and their DCH friends, have very unfairly and in totally very unjust manners
had all along dominated these areas all these times. All the brahmins
and their DCH friends, in Power and in Media, project and promote only their
own kiths and kins.
They have been unreasonably conferring large importance greatness and
eminence to their own unjust and unfair people everywhere. Because of these, those of their people in
the Academics and Professional Spheres who Oppose Reservations with their
personal Vested Caste Interests, appear to be the eminent Experts Opposing
Reservations. They only appear to be
eminent, though they are not, and in fact are very often too mean, unreasonably
dirty, very cheap, and highly corrupt. Reservations, due to all these
reasons are truly worrying to all the exclusive Castes such as the brahmins and their DCH Partners. Reservations, the brahmins and their DCH Partners, know pretty well, will
end all their Privileges. Reservations will also have the
additional benefit of ending all the Exploitations, Manipulations and Corrupt
Practices, as these and those behind these, may be exposed by the excluded
people, when they come in. Reservations are opposed by the brahmins and DCH Partners, only because of all the above.
The brahmins
and DCH Partners resist the entry of the hitherto excluded people, from any
of the marginalised castes. The brahmins
and DCH Partners, fear that if the excluded people
are really allowed to come in through Reservations, they will all stand
totally exposed. Whether the brahmins
and all their DCH Partners like it or not People will Demand more and more
Reservations to take their full Shares in the Country. And that is what Democracy, Civil Rights,
Human Rights, Justice and Equality are all about. Otherwise, not only the Poor, but also the
Women in their own brahmin and DCH Communities will
Rebel against the present dominating elements. |
