I can never be a hindu!

I am not a hindu because I am not a brahmin!

I am not a hindu as I am not even a kshatriya!

I can not be hindu as being not even a baniya!

I am not a hindu as I am not even a kayastha!

I am not a hindu as I being not even a shudra!

I definitely not hindu being outside hindu fold!

Kept deliberately outside brahmin habitations

In meticulously planned manner shunned out!

For millenniums millenniums and through ages

With criminal intentions exploited even today

Still pushed out as an unwanted unacceptable

How to accept when they say I am an hindu?

Despised shunned marginalised unaccepted,

Pushed out to slums or ghettos as unwanted

Being a person who could not be tolerated!

How can I be hindu when I was never one?

How then can I really accept when you say

Me or my fellow SC&ST Dalits are hindus!
