NEWS ANALYSIS:
THE ELECTION RESULTS
in
FIVE STATES
Election Results in the North
Eastern State of Mizoram, and the Northern States of Chatisgarh, Madhya
Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi have come.
The Battle appeared to be between
Congress in Power in the States, and BJP at the Centre. But all the same, People thought it was
between the Good and the Evil; Secularism and Communalism; Rule of Law, Reason
and Justice in a Democracy, and the mad senseless murderous frenzy of
Fascism. Hence, People all over wanted
the centrist Congress to win, and feared the growth of the extreme rightists.
For, BJP is the well-known, cruel rightist Brahmin-Baniya party, working for
enthroning the Brahmin-Baniya-Kshatriya rulers back in power, through
Elections, by misusing Democracy. But,
Congress is not holy by any measure. It is the original Brahmin party, that uses
the Baniyas, Kayasths and Kshatriyas. But, it cunningly talks about Secularism,
Equality, Justice and Honesty, towards Christian and Muslim Minorities, and
SCs&STs. But, all along, the Cong
Brahmins have been cheating everyone else. Still, they are better than, the
openly cruel and murderous anti-Minority and covertly anti-SC&ST, BJP
Fascists.
Tested in field was, the arrogant
holier than thou attitude of Congress, and the cringing cunning BJP, joining
hands with all types of non-Brahmin non-Baniya parties and combines. Sure, the shameless allies, will now tend to
stick on, with the killer BJP. And
definitely, they are all going to be soon licked clean to the bones, by the
bloodthirsty BJP, RSS and their Sangh Parivar.
It is surely death knell, for all smaller and Regional Parties, as BJP
is going up and up, stronger and independent, with their support, but at their
cost. We are sure that, the shamelessly cheap smaller and Regional Parties are
going to stick with BJP, till their death.
Till then, they will blindly benefit, by tasting the leftover crumbs and
droppings of the fascists!
This Election has cleanly and
clearly marginalised SCs&STs, sucking them out of relevance, in the frenzy
of irrationalism, religious fundamentalism and fascism. And SC&ST Parties were comfortably
neglected and forgotten, with the most talked about BSP, returning with only 2
seats in Madhya Pradesh. What a sad end
to the Party, that like Hannibal the Great, had come up to the Gates of the
Capital waiting to be taken. The BSP-SP Combine that reached the doorsteps of
the Parliament in New Delhi, by grabbing the Power of UP at Lucknow, were only
just a couple of steps away from taking New Delhi and India. Whether it was
Maya’s immaturity or arrogance, Mulayam’s inability or stupidity, or Kanshi’s
weaknesses and failures, or BJP’s subversion or success in manoeuvres to
sabotage and break off Dalit-Backwards Combine is now all only meaningless
academic brainteasers. The reality is that both BSP&SP have lost their
Powers and Relevance. With that they have abdicated and given up all hopes of
capturing and coming to Power with Dignity, Self-Respect and full Confidence.
Thus they have both lost their Independence and full Relevance. They can now
only bark and bite like dogs out of their minds and moorings.
Coming back again to Madhya
Pradesh, the BSP is now a poor shadow of it’s past, and failure stares in its
face. It is now a fading Party, that won 11 seats, in the last elections, only,
five years ago, in the same Madhya Pradesh. That matched the 11 Seats it had
won in different constituencies in the earlier election, further five years
ago. Yes, further five years earlier also, BSP had 11 seats. Outsiders think
that, BSP five years ago had retained the 11 seats that it won ten years
ago. But, the real Story was truly bitter.
Maya, was so against the 11 who won ten years ago. She feared that, they might grow up to be so powerful and popular
that BSP might soon win Madhya Pradesh to form a Govt, and have another BSP
Chief Minister in the Country. That Maya did not want to happen, and wanted to
avoid a competition to her position as a CM, or as an ex-CM. So, she did what
all she could, and saw to it that all those 11 were defeated. Her machinations
and the subversive activities of her stooges succeeded. But due to hardwork of Kanshi Ram jee, 11
new MLAs were elected elsewhere. While Maya was definitely not amused, many
around the Country assumed that BSP had managed to retain its old 11 Seats.
Actually the tally should have been 11 new plus 11 old, making it at least 22
Seats.
Maya aggressively pursued her
machinations, specially after Kanshi anointed and announced publicly the
President of BSP Madhya Pradesh Unit, would be another or the second Maya of
the Party, and future CM in grooming for that State. Taking advantage of the hospitalisation of Kanshi Ram, Maya
unfairly and illegally grabbed the position of Party President, behind the back
of Kanshi. That was all, through backdoor methods. SC&ST Dalits, being
fools that they are, or plain simple believers, simply assumed and took for
granted that, Kanshi Ram appointed Maya as BSP President, in his place. Others
feel that the Party had formally elected her. The first thing she did was, to
replace the MP State President, and appoint another person in his place. Later,
she sacked the original President from the Party, and even replaced the new
person to bring an altogether new face. Hence, the entire MP Unit of the Party
rebelled, and walked out en-bloc, splitting the Party. Thus, the fortunes of
both BSP, and the splinter group were ruined, beyond any doubt. Finally, BSP
landed with just 2 MLAs, in the biggest State in the Country. Maya seems to be
happy, even while licking her wounds.
What she is not realising is that, her stock and that of BSP, has
already tumbled down very badly, and taken severe beatings. One has to wait and
watch, to see what she is going to do, and observe how she is going to retain,
the blind support of Chamar SCs!
These elections also prove that,
SC&ST Dalits are big fools, and cannot be trusted by anyone. This, as
everyone had found, is also true about BSP and Maya. This appears to be true
not only SC&ST Dalits, but also all Weaker Sections including the Backward
Castes - like Karuna, Chandra and Mullay, and the Minorities like Farook and
Sangma. They did it to Mr VP Singh (VPS) in the 1991 elections, who sacrificed
his Power and Govt, to stand by RVP, SY and the Govt Decision on Mandal
Commission, to provide for Reservations in Employment to all Backward Classes
taken together. Mullay, showed his back to VPS. Similarly Karuna to Deve Gauda
and IKG (Inder K. Gujaral), after they both stood by him and his Ministers in
1997. And now, they have done it to DigVijay Singh, the only CM in the Country,
to come up with some specific and special programmes for the SC&ST Dalits,
and SC&ST Dalit Developments.
It’s time SCs&STs wake up and
not be carried away by the propagandas, cries and opinions of the city dwelling
dominant castes. SC&ST Dalits must not join hands with the murderous
religious fundamentalists and fascists.
