THOUGH WE ARE SEGREGATED, WE
LOVE OUR UNIQUE NATION
-Millions of untouchables
Zala Lavjibhai Nanjibhai (Ahmedabad)
The day before yesterday I got the idea to go through the
Internet using key word titled “The worst massacre on Dalits at Golana”. I
surprised viewing many articles related the same category. My desire couldn’t
stop me when I saw the title “(Un)touchable’s Advocate in Durban” I have read the theme of his
speech. The young angry man, advocate,
best wisher of Millions of Dalits of the villages of Gujarat, the Dalits social
reformer is going to right path to stop the activities of scavenging and
carrying the night soil on their heads from the its grassroots. I salute the
advocate Mr. Martin Macwan who had made the strong efforts to imprison sentence
to death to the 14 culprits who murdered four Dalits, untouchables, his friends
and colleagues to The Mission Golana(the village of Khambhat Taluka, in
Gujarat) on 25th January
1986. After the event took place the angry man carried the event to the
International level at Durban and also to the Human Right Watch. Almighty bless
him and help him to carry the cart (full of human rights to live in the Hindu
Society).
The Indian Civilization is Thousands years of old has not
accepted 250 Millions (all most the size of total population of America or
larger than some nations of the World) Dalits, SC/STs, Weakers(by all spheres),
Untouchables, Scavengers, lesser humans etc. till India has completed 55 year
of its independence. Dalits, who for generations have been at the very bottom
of the social ladder. They are kept outside, and subservient to, the four-tier
hierarchical caste structure sanctified by Varnasrama Dharma. Salute the nation
and its vaidic caste system where (25 percentage of total population of the unique nation) of human beings are
treated as non human beings. The cat and the dog are very lucky because they
got the status as domestic animals, the kite (the scavenger) and the vulture
are luckier than the cat and the dogs because the Government put them in the
category of critical endangered species.
The government put hoardings at public places titled “Save
the Environment”, “Don’t Cut the Trees”, “Environment is our best friend” But
the world’s largest democratic government does not believe that 250 Millions of
the people most of live below poverty line (BPL) are also the one part of the
environment who must be conserved by any cost. Dr. K.R. Narayana, the Ex.
President of India delivered his presidential address on September 1997 to
Parliament at the beginning of the budget session and explained that the funds
for the development of weaker section of India is being diverted to the other
heads and programs. As a president of largest Democratic India who belongs to
Dalit community had begged from the Parliament to look after the weaker
section., to help the Dalits, SCs/STs. and to accept them as human beings. Our
Nation Father Mahatma Gandhi used the word “Harijan” (People of God) for the oppressed people but very
shameful that the upper caste communities (belongs to rural areas even) are not
willing to come out from their Varna
Pratha(caste system) they believe that why should they bother for the lower
caste? Why should they not let them where they are? Those people who believe in
God he/she does not believe in casteism. Who are main culprits of the God?
Those who make difference between human beings or who never teaches or are
taught to make difference between humans? Bihar stands first and gets Gold
Medal, Uttar Pradesh stands second and gets Silver Medal, Tamil Nadu stands
third and gets Bronze Medal and Gujarat following the Tamil Nadu and gets
compensation prize for not to get glory for our nation but in the field of
violence against Dalits, Weaker sections. The Dalits are sufferers of every
types of violence in the nation. The Dalits have been stabbed and murdered
during the anti-reservation movement by the (real) Hindus of the nation. The Muslims attack on the oppressed
people(believing this community belongs to Hinduism, but the Hindus don’t
believe in the same faith) and murdered in the communal violence. Every step of
their lives they are suffering economical, educational, religious violence’s
spread by the ruling government of the sovereign country, Mother India. This is
the condition of People of God (According to Mahatma Gandhi), Untouchables
(According to upper caste of the nation), Dalits (according to Dr. Baba Saheb
Ambedkar and Jyotiba Phule) and SC/ST (according constitution of Worlds largest
democratic nation, India). At last but not least I must not forget the
obligations of my Mother India who provides separate space to live the
communities in unhappy in the every corner of villages but not separated from
India. I must keep these types of obligations in my mind and say “This is My
Nation, I love my Nation, I bow my nation’s feet, I ready to be martyr for my
nation, My whole life is dedicated to my mother country, Mera Bharat Mahan”
14th April of every year is associated with
Dalit Masiha Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar who was born in Mahar Caste (it is lower
Hindu caste according to holy books of Hinduism). Who was humiliated by his
school fellows in his school days. He was delegate at the Round Table
Conference held in London, where he asked for separate electorates status for
the oppressed (untouchables)communities. But Our Nation Father didn’t want that
the Dalits be separated from the Unique Nation, Unique Hinduism. He promised to
the Dalit Masiha that the Hindu Community (special for Upper Caste) never made
any difference between the human beings. The SC/STs would get benefit from all
direction. They would not be humiliated by upper caste. They would be get
proportionally reservations in every government schools, colleges, institutions,
public sectors etc. With lots of grieves both (both the leaders of different
communities but from one religion) signed on the Poona Pact in 1932.
In 1947 Ambedkar became the law minister of the Government of India. He took a leading part in the framing
the Indian Constitution, in which banned discrimination against untouchables,
and cleverly helped to pass this through the Constitute Assembly. He renounced
Hinduism along with 2,00,000 fellow untouchables to become a Buddhist in 1951
at the ceremony in Nagpur, India because Untouchability still continued to be
part of Hindu Society. However millions of untouchables are living without any
religion because the Hindus have not accepted them as Hindus still 55 years of
independence. The untouchables have some hope today, tomorrow or later the
Hindu will give them status of Hindus of India but it is still hopeless…
Dr. Baba Saheb was awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously
in 1990. Thanks the Indian Government, the countrymen, the right followers of
Hinduism for not denying to award to the great untouchable, the Dalit Masiha,
the Father of millions of present untouchables and billions of potential
untouchables of independence and republican country, India.
