Being an employee of Life
Insurance Corp. of India /Br.Beliaghata under K.M.D.O-1, I can’t help
writing to inform you something about my mental as well as physical harassment
both inside and outside the office premise by a few staffs namely: Mr.Debasish
Roy,Mr Atin Maitra and Mr.Ujjal Mitra. A few more are indirectly
defaming me namely: Mr. Joyanta Biswas, Mr.Arun Das, Mr.Arup Adhikary and
Mr.Swapan Sengupta. These people have even made the branch manager shift my
sitting arrangements into his chamber with a view to having me isolated as
because I belong to Scheduled caste. It was more shocking to know that there
was a plan to defame me otherwise by stealing money/valuable documents
which are kept safe in the Vault placed in Branch Manager’s room.
There are many more instances such as if I can’t afford to pay the recreational
fee as per demand they harass me badly. Mr.D.Roy,
Mr.U.Mitra and Mr.A.Maitra have recently threatened me seriously for not
complaining to anyone even if I know well that there is a conspiracy.I am
too scared to complain about anything odd in the branch.
For corrupt example, they have calculated less tax intentionally by
showing rebate in excess in form –16 than what it should be according to my
declaration and offered me to share the amount less shown in form-16 as it is
hardly scrutinized by I.T.O. But if I try to see it from their point of view, I
find there are at least three possibilities: (1)If I don't agree might be
beaten up, another one is if I still deposit at Bank counter , they may deduct
the amount later with a view to harassing me even if I inform .Otherwise if I
don’t tell ,they must be planning to inform the income tax officer after 30th
September as the last date for submitting form- 16( I am not only being
threatened by the branch staffs but also by the staffs of KBO-10 under KMDO-1
namely: Mr.Supriya Bhattacharjee Mr.Prabir Sarkar and Mr .Dibeyndu Chakraborty
as if having revealed out the kind of practice in form -16 may trouble them).
They have even tampered my office records as far as my address is concerned.
I also am to say
that I was issued Charge sheet on not submission of leave applications and
proper address whereas I informed my proper address on various occasions
in addition to informing officially about four years ago. As for address ,at
least I would have to submit a few sample house rent receipts for calculating
tax every year. I also used to submit leave applications duly filled up time to
time as it was part of my duty and it does not cost anything for signing
up printed forms. But having talked to the Enquiry officer I again verified my
leave ledger folio in the branch office which was transferred in from the
previous branch I was posted at. To my surprise I found that the ledger folio
sent from KBO-10 under KMDO-1 was not the same I saw earlier and my leave
position is posted less. I was more shocked when I found that a
few back dates on attendance register are marked half day absent which
I am sure of not taking half day leave so as to grant me EOL. These may be
the main reasons behind unadjusted leave positions so far in spite of
submitting all that. In other words they are always trying to malign my service
records as well as harass me since I belong to scheduled caste.
If these people could tamper as well as turn hostile for no
benefit or a little benefit, how far they could actually jump as far
as sharing the corporation's money is concerned .In insurance rather
pen-paper business if such tampering takes place what's the future of this
corporation? These people could turn violent anytime any day at least to remove
the hindrance of such malpractice.
Finding justice against this kind of conspiracy out of castism
and their parallel administration in the branch itself is a tough job.
More shocking that the branch Manager himself is wanting me either
to quit my job or to opt for a transfer .
I don't know whether these kinds of people are natural predators
or not but it is certainly a matter of research.
